YOTEL New York, known as “the most radical hotel in the world”, is already well known as the only hotel in the world with its own robot. Now YOBOT takes his services one step further – with the push of a button guests can literally chute their bags from the hotel’s location two blocks from Times Square to one of the New York area airports (LaGuardia, Newark and JFK) via specially marked bins in the YOBOT’s glass-enclosed home.

It’s an important point to make that Per Se, the restaurant the New York Times anointed as the Best Restaurant in the City, does not differentiate the price between the vegetarian menu and the chef’s tasting menu.  What this reminds us is that however much we love our meats, the cornucopia of foods beyond them – the artisanal cheeses, seasonal vegetables and exotic starches – can provide as much enjoyment as your favorite cut of protein.

The day bag is made from reclaimed airbag, cut out of cars in junkyards across Ohio. After being cleaned, organized, and disassembled they are cut and sewn into duffles at our workshop. The airbags are used because of the beauty of the material, which weathers with use and darkens over time.
